last thurs, my dear and i went to Marina South to have steamboat.. and at there we saw a rare phenomenon..
well.. we were waiting at the bus stop for bus to come.. and apparently, we waited for about 30mins and the bus weren't here yet.. but the bus stop was crowded with people.. and everybody started hiring cab..
It's was peak hour so there will be an additional charge of $1.. yet everybody still try to get cab.. although the ride to the steamboat place is rather near but it's minimum $3.40 for each ride.. so there was these few cabs whom i must say they are real lucky as they fetch the passengers to the place and then come back to the bus stop again and fetch another batch of passengers.. i think they must have earn at least more than $34, just by going to and fro.. 
oh well.. what's funny and weird is the way people fight for cabs.. some cross over to the opposite hoping to be the first to grab the cabs that are coming back.. others stand on the road.. everybody is like snatching for cabs.. and when the bus eventually came, everybody tried to squeeze up the bus.. and there are still alot of people who did not manage to get in..
sometimes, it's weird when taxi drviers said they have poor business.. because everytime i wanna get a cab, i find it real hard.. no matter i'm in town or heartland area.. and some cabs can just park at places like Marina South where they go lucky by picking up so many customers..
perhaps, it's a good idea to be a taxi driver when u have retired or out of job..
